As a leading Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation contractor, Dornan has projects in Ireland, Europe and the UK across various sectors such as Pharmaceutical, Power, Waste to Energy, Commercial, Data Centre and Petrochemical. The successful candidate will join a hard-working ambitious team and benefit from a supportive culture where their ideas and contributions will be recognised. Reporting to the Site EHS Lead, the key responsibilities include:

* Developing safety documents and conducting regular formal site audits
* Carrying out inspections as directed in the Safety Management system and communicating findings to site management
* Ensuring the delivery of health and safety inductions for all employees or contractors
* Advising on personal protection equipment required by Dornan employees
* Ensuring sub-contractor safety documents are produced and available on site
* Advising/assisting the Site/Project Management team in drafting and communicating method statements for high-risk activities
* Supporting site management in ensuring records of statutory inspections are kept for all activities and plant equipment
* Assisting in incident/accident investigation reporting and filing
* Serving as Dornan representative at site meetings when requested
* Managing the Toolbox Schedule for the project including attendance records
* Compiling and communicating site emergency plans in conjunction with the site team
* Advising site management on first aid and fire marshal requirements
* Giving advice to site management on training requirements for each project
* Ensuring all training requirements have been met by sub-contractors on projects
* Informing and assisting site management on the preparation of the safety file for handover to the client at the end of the project
* Furnishing safety reports to head office as required
* Ensuring compliance and promoting good work practices in relation to health, safety, and welfare management systems

The ideal candidate will have a relevant EHS qualification and at least 5 years' experience in a similar position. They will be able to provide monthly KPI statistics for their projects.
