Parts Inspector

Key Responsibilities:
As a Parts Inspector at Fives, you will be responsible for inspecting parts from internal manufacture and outsourced suppliers. This is a hands-on role that requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspecting cubic and cylindrical components up to an inclusive weight of 14 tonnes.
- Producing complex components according to specification requirements.
- Working within the standards room – inspecting geometric tolerances via Talyrond, levelling of beds and worktables.
- Endo scoping components; checking for burrs, debris or swarf.
- Providing first piece inspection on manufactured components.
- Measuring and working to very tight tolerances.
- Creation of inspection and non-conformance reports.
- Conversant with ISO19001.
- Ability to use metrology equipment. Including Faro arm, Talyrond, Talyvel and PMM - ideally Leitz.
- Work with minimal supervision and plan workload effectively to achieve targets and KPIs.
- Experience working on bespoke parts to stringent geometric tolerances.
- Understand, and work at all times, in line with Fives Values and Directives; specifically following the highest standards of health and safety.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as requested.

- Flexibility to work to the needs of the business, including working different shift patterns and overtime as and when required.
- A mindset that places process optimisation at the forefront.
- Able to both recognise and embrace a flexible approach, ensuring that business commitments are fulfilled, and customer expectations are both maintained and surpassed.
- A number of years' experience in an inspection role.
- Ability to work alone or part of a team.
- Able to manage own time and meet tight deadlines.
