Join our multi-discipline engineering team responsible for delivering world-leading integrated sensor systems. As a Principal Reliability Expert, you will play a critical role in developing next-generation electro-optic systems, including those for the Dragonfire and GCAP programmes.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting Failure Modes Effects & Criticality Analyses (FMEA/FMECA) on electronic cards as part of laser systems to inform ongoing design processes.
  • Engaging with Integrated Project Teams to deliver Supportability Engineering (SE) work packages covering Reliability, Maintainability, and Testability (RM&T) analysis, Support Strategy planning, and modelling.
  • Using analytical techniques and procedures to perform RM&T analysis on integrated systems.
  • Closely collaborating with systems, mechanical, software, RF, electronics, and safety engineers to identify and mitigate real support-related issues on complex systems before they reach customers.
  • Contributing to growing and developing the supportability community and core skills base.
  • Participating in continuous process/procedural improvements to reduce the cost and reputational impact of failures.
  • Understanding customers' operational needs to guide the development of equipment meeting future operational environments.
  • Contributing to IPT and Engineering Unit decision-making.

Requirements:

  • A degree in a relevant engineering or science discipline.
  • Working knowledge of RMT analysis techniques on electronic, power, RF, and mixed technology systems.
  • Familiarity with statistical data analysis.
  • Eligibility for full security clearance.
