Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as an Alternative Education Tutor. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the design, development, and delivery of alternative education pathways, supporting and leading both practical and academic activities, providing learning opportunities for socially and educationally excluded young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • To build and maintain positive relationships with young people, providing a non-judgmental adult role model with a commitment to inclusive practice.
  • To work effectively in individual and team contexts, in conjunction with designated staff and volunteers, in accordance with flexible timetable requirements.
  • To provide consistent and comprehensive evidence of student participation in activities, including photographs, observation records, and witness statements.
  • To support the delivery of SMSC, Accreditation, and Maths and English sessions to groups or individual students.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young people and a commitment to delivering high-quality education and support. They will be able to work effectively in a team and build positive relationships with students, staff, and volunteers.
