As a key member of the corporate tax team, you will be responsible for providing expert tax advice to a diverse portfolio of clients, including owner-managed businesses, start-ups, and established Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs) and Limited Companies.
Key Responsibilities- Corporate Tax Compliance and Advisory Services: Provide high-quality corporate tax compliance and advisory services to clients, working closely with the Corporate Tax Director to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Maximising Fee Income: Identify opportunities to maximise fee income and generate new client consultancy work from the portfolio.
- Team Management: Manage a team of four corporate tax professionals, ensuring efficient production, quality levels, and staff development.
- Compliance Cycle Management: Manage the compliance cycle for a portfolio of corporate tax clients, reviewing CT600 returns and ensuring timely submission.
- Junior Team Review: Review work carried out by junior team members to ensure corporate tax work is completed within timeframes and budget.
- Client Queries and Partners Billing: Respond to corporate tax queries from clients and undertake partners billing.
- Corporate Tax Advice: Provide expert advice to business clients on a wide range of corporate tax matters, including domestic and international tax.
- Client Meetings and Presentations: Attend client meetings and presentations, corresponding with clients and external agencies.
- Qualifications: ACA/ACCA/ATT/CTA/STEP qualified or qualified by experience with a career background in corporate tax or a mixed tax background.
- Experience: Advisory/planning tax experience gained within an accounting firm or tax boutique firm of any size.
- Background: Developed within a firm of any size environment, from small independent to Top Tier firm background, seeking a career move offering development and progression potential.
- Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable.
- Flexible Working: Flexible and hybrid working is on offer, and the client is open to part-time applicants.
