Public Law Solicitor Job Description

Gemini Recruitment is partnering with a leading law firm to recruit a Public Law Solicitor for a highly sought permanent position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of Public Law work, including challenging non-appealable decisions, challenging removal notices, and NHS & Local Authority challenges. They will also be responsible for preparing and managing funding applications to the Legal Aid Agency, preparing draft documents, and attending conferences and court.

The ideal candidate will have a strong management background, excellent client care skills, and the ability to deal with vulnerable clients and resolve complicated practicalities involved in Public Law issues. They will also have a working knowledge of the Legal Aid Guidance for Public Law matters and the ability to service privately funded cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of Public Law work, including challenging non-appealable decisions, challenging removal notices, and NHS & Local Authority challenges.
