Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Special Needs Primary School in Milton Keynes. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in helping students with a range of identified needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition, Communication and Interaction difficulties, Social, Emotional, and Mental Health difficulties, Complex Needs, ADHD, and PDA.

Job Duties:
  • Support class Senior LSA's and Teachers with the preparation of resources to meet the personalised learning intentions of allocated students.
  • Provide 1:1 support under the supervision of the class Teacher for the delivery of skills-based learning.
  • Work closely with class Teacher to report on progress using an evidence-based approach.
  • Enable students to learn by understanding their learning goals and targets, enabling them to practice and learn new skills, and challenging them to be as independent as possible.
  • Be involved in the provision of all aspects of support necessary to ensure the students' wellbeing and ability to function and engage in learning.
  • Understand and fully implement Safeguarding policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of GCSE qualifications in English and Maths.
  • Prior experience working in a similar role within an educational setting would be ideal but not necessary.
  • Initiative to take proactive actions, organisational skills to manage tasks efficiently, and prioritisation skills to handle multiple responsibilities.
