Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our client's dynamic team at Faslane. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for conducting mechanical fitting and maintenance on marine vessels, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical systems and components, and ensuring all work complies with relevant safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting mechanical fitting and maintenance on marine vessels
  • Inspecting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical systems and components
  • Ensuring all work complies with relevant safety and quality standards
  • Collaborating with other team members to achieve project objectives
  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting as needed
  • Documenting all maintenance activities and reporting any issues
  • Adhering to work schedules and completing tasks within allocated timeframes
Requirements
  • Mechanical fitting experience, preferably within the marine or offshore sector
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Knowledge of safety standards and protocols in mechanical fitting
  • Eligibility for Security Clearance (SC)
  • Flexible to work 12-hour days, including travel time
  • Experience with PAYE or Umbrella company working arrangements
Benefits

  • Certain in-date courses/cards are required for the role and the client will arrange as necessary, a slightly lower rate may be applicable during this process depending on what is required.
  • PAYE - £30/ plus £3.62/h holiday pay (which can be accrued or advanced)
  • Umb co - £39.44/h
