Capgemini Engineering is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in the Space sector. As a key member of our Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) operations team, you will be responsible for developing and applying engineering practices and knowledge in the design of mechanical systems, devices, equipment, and machines. Your expertise will be utilized to simulate a wide range of interactions and evaluate performance in real-world scenarios, as well as develop prototypes for manufacturability, testing, and validation.

Key Responsibilities:

* Work as a Manufacturing Process Engineer to support the AIT operational team at our client's location in Stevenage, UK.
* Produce Technical Instructions to support the manufacturing schedule.
* Identify production defects and develop corresponding rework and repair methods.
* Support quality reviews and RCAs using lean / six sigma tools.
* Develop lessons learnt and support PFMEA reviews to reduce non-conformance.

Requirements:

* Excellent communication skills with the ability to understand and use complex technical feedback to iterate existing manufacturing processes.
* Lean / Six Sigma experience (ideally green belt or higher), support process development, implementation, monitoring, and improvement.
* Proficient in mechanical & electrical design, manufacturing, and validation.
* Experience working in a shop or factory environment and leading data-driven improvement projects to improve supply chains, manufacturing methods, and product delivery.
* Ability to compile, analyze, interpret, and present data from various sources to steer projects across product assembly and supply chains.
* High level of technical skills with in-depth understanding of space industry assembly, integration, and test processes.
* Experience in Manufacturing Systems and enabling software tools relevant to the industry.
* Good planning and PLM skills (Windchill, P6, IPS, 3D experience or other similar systems) and understanding of MRP systems is an advantage.
