About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Systems Engineer to join our team at Optos. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in the development and delivery of our innovative retinal imaging solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop automated testing frameworks to ensure the quality and reliability of our products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing requirements
  • Develop and maintain continuous systems test suites, including unit tests, integration tests, and acceptance tests
  • Prepare and submit verification reports and associated documents to meet regulatory requirements
  • Support the production unit in setting up and executing automation infrastructure
  • Evaluate system behavior by executing automation test suites and analyzing image characteristics under various environmental conditions
  • Lead and manage a testing community of practice to ensure the adoption of testing best practices across the organization
Requirements
  • Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in programming (Python preferred, but other languages such as C/C++, C#, Java, etc. are also acceptable)
  • Experience with DevOps tools and techniques, including virtual machine management (VMWare preferred)
  • Familiarity with the integration of electronic, optical, and mechanical systems/subsystems
  • Strong understanding of continuous improvement principles and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
