Fabric Craft Specialist

We are recruiting a Fabric Craft Specialist to teach textiles in Wandsworth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sewing, weaving, and fabric manipulation, as well as experience in lesson planning and delivery.

This is a part-time maternity cover role starting in January 2025, with a maximum of four days per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, providing expert guidance, and maintaining classroom materials and equipment.

• Deliver engaging lessons that introduce students to sewing, weaving, and fabric manipulation.
• Provide expert guidance on textile techniques, helping students develop their skills through exciting projects.
• Maintain classroom materials and equipment, ensuring everything is in perfect order.
• Evaluate student work and offer constructive feedback that encourages growth and innovation.

To be considered for this role, you must hold QTS or PGCE and have previous experience teaching textiles, ideally across Key Stage 3, 4, and/or 5. You should also be enthusiastic about inspiring students and eager to contribute to their creative journeys.
