About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals within their own homes on a short-term basis to regain independence, increase confidence, and learn new skills in all aspects of personal care and daily living.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support individuals in their own homes to regain independence and confidence
  • Assist with personal care and daily living tasks
  • Provide emotional support and companionship
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care

Requirements
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Experience of working in a care setting and/or NVQ Level 2 in Adult Social Care or equivalent
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Empathy and a passion to support others
