About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Cook to join our team at Bramfield House School. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for planning and preparing nutritious meals for our students and staff.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement 4-6 week menus for breakfast, lunch, and breaktime snacks, taking into account special dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Lead a small kitchen team, supervising the preparation and serving of meals, and maintaining a positive and energetic work environment.
  • Ensure the kitchen is clean, safe, and well-maintained, adhering to food hygiene legislation and best practices.
  • Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and budgeting for kitchen operations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain healthy and professional relationships with students and staff.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in catering for large groups, including those with diverse dietary needs.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and a focus on quality.
