About the Role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Utility Groundworker to join our Reinstatement team in a groundwork and reinstatement role.

As a Groundworks and Reinstatement Professional, you will be responsible for the reinstatement of SSE excavations, working as part of a team to ensure good team communication and adherence to safe working practices.

You will work outside in all weather conditions, and to strict timescales, to deliver excellent customer service where reactive maintenance is required.

This is a physically demanding role, involving extensive reinstatement works on the highway and private land, and you may also be asked to assist with other ad hoc projects.

What We're Looking For

  • Some experience with Groundworks/Reinstating techniques, including Tarmac, modular services, slabs, and concrete.
  • An HGV licence and experience of driving a Hotbox or Grab/HIAB lorry is desirable.
  • Experience of working on public highways involving setting up and taking down temporary traffic signals to the code of practice and working alongside hotbox, concrete, and grab lorries.
