About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at Arthur Mellows Village College in Peterborough. As a key member of our catering team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving food, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and serving of food and snacks to students and staff
  • Work collaboratively with the catering team to ensure a smooth and efficient service
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and restaurant areas
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors

What We Offer:

  • A competitive hourly rate of £11.44
  • A 30-hour working week with 20-minute breaks
  • Term-time only, with 38 weeks per year
  • A free meal on shift

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a catering or retail environment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts
