About the Role

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team of educational professionals. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers and pupils in mainstream schools, providing additional support to students in KS1 and KS2.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons, providing individualized support to pupils as needed
  • Help pupils with English, Maths, Reading, and Writing, adapting to the needs of the school and pupils
  • Work closely with teachers and other TAs to ensure pupils are progressing and work is aligned with pupil ability
  • Be flexible and approachable, moving between classes as needed
Requirements
  • Recent experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting
  • Ability to work immediately, with flexibility to adapt to school needs
  • SEN experience desirable, but not essential
