About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Section Manager to join our team in Glasgow. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing a section of our rail network, ensuring that our infrastructure is maintained to the highest standards. You will work closely with our in-house teams and contractors to deliver inspections, renewals, and maintenance of diverse infrastructure assets.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage a section of our rail network, ensuring that our infrastructure is maintained to the highest standards.
  2. Lead and direct the work of teams delivering inspections, renewals, and maintenance of diverse infrastructure assets.
  3. Develop and implement safe working practices and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  4. Collaborate with our in-house teams and contractors to deliver projects and meet deadlines.
  5. Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating any risks or issues that may impact project delivery.
Requirements
  1. Proven experience in managing a team and delivering projects in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Strong knowledge of rail infrastructure maintenance and management.
  3. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
  4. Ability to work in a safety-critical environment and adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
