Senior Electrical Engineer Opportunity

Metso Corporation is seeking a seasoned Electrical Engineer to drive electrical design and provide technical support for our Bulk Material Handling Engineering team. This role offers a unique blend of innovation, technical excellence, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical design and technical support for our GBP equipment, ensuring top performance and reliability.
  • Develop project requirements and basis of design to meet high standards and customer needs.
  • Analyze and design electrical systems and components for bulk handling equipment, including power system calculations and documentation.
  • Lead testing and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring they meet all specifications and standards.
  • Collaborate with our CAD design team to create detailed electrical drawings.
  • Assist proposal and sales teams by providing accurate electrical cost estimates.
  • Visit customer sites to provide on-the-ground support and ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunication, or Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Extensive experience in designing and engineering equipment for Mining, Mineral Processing, or similar bulk material handling sectors.
  • Proficient in Switchboard and Substation Design, VVVF Drives, Cable Sizing, Equipment Electrical Layout, and Cable Schedule Preparation.
  • Skilled in Power System Calculations and Analysis, including fault level, load flow, harmonics, earthing, arc flash, and equipment sizing.
  • Experience in Variable Speed Drive design and commissioning, with a background in bulk material handling processes.
  • Experience with Factory Acceptance Testing and ability to travel for site commissioning activities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
