Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering & Manufacturing team in an FMCG environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving the performance of all line machinery.

About the Role

The Maintenance Engineer will conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to ensure operational performance. They will respond promptly to machinery breakdowns to minimise production downtime and carry out preventative maintenance tasks to improve machinery lifespan. Additionally, they will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner and adhere to company's health and safety policies at all times.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to ensure operational performance
- Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns to minimise production downtime
- Carry out preventative maintenance tasks to improve machinery lifespan
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
- Adhere to company's health and safety policies at all times

Requirements

The successful candidate will have recognised Engineering qualifications, preferably in Mechanical or Electrical disciplines. They will also have prior experience working in an FMCG environment and strong technical skills with a good understanding of machinery maintenance best practices. Additionally, they will be able to work effectively within a team and independently and have good problem-solving abilities with a focus on improving operational efficiency.
