About the JobOur Clients team in the Surrey area requires dedicated and compassionate home support workers to provide high-quality personal care and support to clients in their own homes.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Supporting with toileting needs and continence management.
- Administering prescribed medications and monitoring health conditions.
- Reporting any changes in health to a supervisor or healthcare professional.
- Helping clients with mobility and transfers, using appropriate equipment.
- Accompanying clients to appointments or social activities.
- Performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
- Ensuring the home environment is safe and comfortable.
- Providing companionship and engaging in conversation to alleviate loneliness.
- Supporting clients' mental and emotional well-being through active listening and encouragement.
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided and any changes in the client's condition.
- Completing daily logs and reporting to the supervisor as required.
- Following all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Attending regular training sessions and staying updated with best practices in care.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- A valid driving licence and access to a car.
- Experience in domiciliary care within the UK.
- A compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
