Job Summary:

This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary and opportunities for career growth. As a Heavy Equipment Transport Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining a fleet of 92 vehicles, providing support to larger tasks, and training as an Army Sponsored Reservist.

About the Role:

  • You will work within our maintenance department based in either Bulford in Wiltshire or Catterick in North Yorkshire.
  • Our sites are part of military workshop facilities, with a team-oriented attitude to achieve company goals.
  • You will be affiliated with the Regular Tank Transporter Squadron based in Bulford upon completion of all military training and acceptance as a Sponsored Reservist.
  • We are passionate about our work and have a diverse team focused on meeting our contract requirements with the MoD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • HGV Fleet Maintenance: Your primary role is the maintenance of the 'Admin' fleet of HET vehicles.
  • As a Sponsored Reservist, you will participate in military training and exercises.
  • Maintainers will be expected to be deployed on operations in military uniform, with a 50% salary uplift.
  • The above is a summary of main duties only, with other responsibilities required to meet the changing needs of this role.

Requirements:

  • We are seeking talented and enthusiastic HGV mechanics with an appropriate BTEC, City & Guilds, or NVQ Level 3 qualification.
  • A C+E (HGV 1) licence is desirable, although training can be provided.
  • You must not exceed 6 points on your licence.
  • You will need to be medically and physically fit to meet the Army training requirements.
  • Willingness to work away from home when required.
  • Previous military experience is desirable, with serving Regulars or Reservists able to transfer directly.
  • The successful applicant will need to demonstrate teamwork and commitment to delivering an effective service to our clients.
