About the Role

At Systems Engineering & Assessment (SEA), we're seeking a highly skilled Assembly Technician to join our team in Barnstaple. As an Assembly Technician, you'll work closely with our Production and Engineering teams to provide assembly and machining support. Your day-to-day tasks will include skilled mechanical and electrical assembly work, machining support, and training support for company apprentices. You'll be responsible for reading and interpreting technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly instruction guides to create full assemblies using a mix of electrical and mechanical assembly skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Skilled in Mechanical and Electrical assembly work
• Machining support to Production and Engineering Departments
• Training support for company apprentices
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly instruction guides

Requirements

• Previous experience working within a skilled assembly technician, mechanical assembly, or electro-mechanical role
• Ability to follow instructions to create a full assembly using a mix of electrical and mechanical assembly skills
• Experience in hand soldering, polymer moulding processes, component handling and identification, wire size and type identification
• Competency in the use of measurement equipment
