Experienced Toolmaker

CV-Library is seeking a skilled Tool Room Engineer to join our team in Corby. As a Tool Room Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing press tools, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

• Manage existing tools and research new press tool designs to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• Respond promptly to tooling issues on machinery to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production.
• Collaborate with the Design Engineer to develop new press tools and test them for quality and performance.
• Develop a good understanding of press tools, CNC, lathes, and manual machinery to effectively maintain and improve tooling.
• Communicate effectively with the team to ensure seamless tooling operations.

• Traditional time-served apprentice trained Toolmaker or Mechanical Engineer with a strong understanding of press tools and machinery.
• Ability to draft and understand technical drawings and communicate effectively with the Design Engineer.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality tooling standards.
