Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with design and production teams to interpret customer/design needs into suitable shop floor instructions, ensuring the effective implementation of lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and improve production efficiency/quality. They will investigate production or design issues, develop solutions, and lead/implement improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

The ideal candidate will possess previous experience using lean manufacturing principles, CAD/technical drawing software packages, and quality management systems (ISO 9001). Familiarity with fabrication methods and materials (welding and assembly) is desirable but not essential.

  • Good understanding of design for manufacture principles
  • Lean manufacturing principles expertise
  • Process optimisation and efficiency improvement skills
  • AutoCAD/Solidworks proficiency and Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to interpret technical/engineering drawings

This is a unique opportunity for a skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to the success of A1 Jobs Ltd's client. The estimated salary for this role is around £55,000-£65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
