This role requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group, an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.

Two part-time positions are available:

14.8 hours in Acute Mental Health at Royal Edinburgh Hospital (Music Therapy only)

7.4 hours in the Mother & Baby Unit (Inpatient) St John's Hospital (Music Therapy, Art Psychotherapy, or Dramatherapy)

Candidates can apply for either vacancy or both, specifying their preference on the application.

Please note that as this post is part-time, the salary will be pro-rata.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the NHS Lothian Arts Psychotherapies Service, a team of over 30 Arts Psychotherapists working across various age groups and localities served by NHS Lothian.

Key responsibilities include working with clinical teams and as an autonomous clinical practitioner, planning and providing an arts psychotherapies service within own modality, including treatment and ongoing evaluation, drawing on evidence base specific to clinical area.

Additionally, the post holder will support and engage in research and audits for ongoing service improvement.
