Project Controls Specialist

Westlakes Recruit is seeking a skilled Project Controls Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Leeds with hybrid working. This is an exciting opportunity to work on some of the UK's largest transportation infrastructure projects, utilizing state-of-the-art project controls tools and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain project programmes and tender programmes with minimal supervision.
  • Allocate tasks, check achievements, and provide constructive feedback, direction, and management.
  • Work with various forms of contract, including NEC, and have experience with Schedule Risk and Cost analysis.
  • Prepare project resource histograms and implement Earned Value Management on projects.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Requirements:
  • Excellent understanding of project controls techniques, including budget and spend management, change control, and data analysis.
  • Experience working on large projects up to £50m and a good understanding of transportation technologies and markets.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex matters in a professional and straightforward manner.
  • Proactive, structured, and analytical approach to work, with a good eye for detail and data quality.
