About the Role

This is a senior leadership role that requires a strong track record of delivering complex programmes and projects to successful conclusion. You will be accountable for scoping, mobilising, managing, and delivering programmes that align with AQA's strategic objectives and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement governance structures to ensure programme delivery meets AQA's policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Lead and manage programme teams to deliver high-quality outcomes and ensure effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior stakeholders, including executives and senior management.
  • Translate organisational strategy into a roadmap of component programmes and projects.
  • Ensure programme objectives and outcomes are clearly articulated and progress is effectively monitored and managed.
  • Proactively identify and manage inter-dependencies between programmes and projects within the wider portfolio.
  • Manage and facilitate change at an organisational level to ensure programme alignment with AQA's strategic objectives and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale, high-value programmes and projects to successful conclusion.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience of leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and articulate programme activities, milestones, and critical path.
  • Ability to think strategically and translate a vision into achievable goals and provide clear direction to achieve programme outcomes.
  • Experience of working in a similar role within a similar industry or sector.
