Lead a Team of Innovators

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controls Team Leader to join our Controls Software Development R&D team in Lithuania. As a Controls Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of controls engineers in the development of software for key products, ensuring that quality and usability are integrated into the product at the earliest possible stage and remain a primary focus throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop your team members to achieve their full potential.
  • Oversee the hiring process to attract and recruit top talent for your team.
  • Provide peer coaching to new members of the team on technical and organisational matters.
  • Act as Product Owner / Product Owner Agent for the area of controls for the team.
  • Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including hands-on design, implementation, documentation and validation.
  • As part of the development team actively engage design reviews and demonstrations to stakeholders.
  • Ensure that quality is designed into the product from the very start of development.
  • In conjunction with test engineer devise strong unit/ integrated test cases.
  • Develop emulation components to allow testing of development and project software.
  • Ensure good coordination and collaboration with other development teams that are working on the same technology platform and/or product stream.

Requirements

  • Education to degree level in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent qualification is expected.
  • Proven experience in leading and mentoring a team of controls engineers.
  • Strong technical knowledge in PLC Software Development, MS office suite applications, Object Oriented Design Concepts.
  • Full working proficiency in English.
  • Enthusiasm for software development and innovation.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset, with a high level of organisation and quality orientation.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for up to 10%.

Desirable Skills

  • Familiarity with Agile Software Processes.
  • Familiarity with Task/Issue Tracking (Jira/Kanban).
  • Knowledge of Emulate3D.
