Senior Data Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our Jet2.com Data Science Team, reporting to one of our Lead Data Scientists. As a key appointment, you will be responsible for delivering key data science initiatives that drive significant value, combining insights from multiple large data sources with contextual understanding and experience of our colleagues across the business.
Key Responsibilities- Take ownership of delivering data science initiatives, breaking down tasks into measurable objectives and reporting progress and issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to identify, enthuse, and execute the application of machine learning and statistical modelling tools.
- Develop and communicate clear data visualisations and recommendations to stakeholders, ensuring awareness of regulatory and internal policy requirements.
- Highly numerate with a statistical background, with strong expertise in Python and SQL.
- Strong ability to create clear data visualisations in tools such as Tableau.
- Demonstrable experience in delivering data science initiatives from concept to production.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and data storage.
- Ability to gather, cleanse, and enrich data from multiple sources.
