Childline Practitioner

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childline Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our Childline Universal twilight team, you will provide vital support to children and young people who contact us during late and overnight hours.

• Support volunteers while they talk to children, using your skills flexibly to ensure a high-quality service.
• Lead on key on-shift safeguarding decisions and use coaching to maintain and develop the quality of the service.
• Ensure every child and young person receives a high-quality service, providing effective supervision, coaching, feedback, training, and support to volunteers.

As a Childline Practitioner, you will have the opportunity to make a positive difference for thousands of children and young people every year. You will work a hybrid rota, which includes a consistent balance of daytime, twilight, and night shifts across a 6-week pattern. You will also receive a 10.5% rota allowance on top of your basic salary.

• A strong background working with children and young people within a safeguarding context.
• A passion for supporting others, especially in situations which can be emotionally challenging.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
