Rate: £95-105 per hour

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Primary Teaching Assistant to join our team at Remedy Education. As a SEN Primary Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of appropriate resources, schemes of work, and teaching strategies to support students with SEN.
  • Supervise and support a classroom in a group setting, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
  • Support students with behavior management, using positive reinforcement techniques and strategies.
  • Undertake structured and agreed learning activities/teaching programmes, adjusting activities to ensure achievement of learning goals.
  • Establish good relationships with students, acting as a role model and promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students, supporting diversity and ensuring equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.

Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of SEN and learning barriers.
  • Some knowledge of strategies in working with young people with challenging behaviors.
  • Safeguarding experience.
  • Experience of working directly with young people in an education or training environment, supporting the learning of students.
