Audit and Accounts Senior

Protalent is partnering with a leading accountancy practice to recruit an experienced Audit and Accounts Senior for their Dartford office.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team and develop your skills and competencies through self-development and an intensive training program.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out audit duties for medium to large, owner-managed clients in various industries, with a typical assignment involving clients with turnover in excess of £10 million.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and lead audits, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
- Obtain background data for audit planning, identifying potential risks and areas of focus.
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare corporation tax computations, ensuring timely submission and compliance with tax regulations.
- Draft management letters and reports, communicating key findings and recommendations to clients.
- Ensure time budgets are maintained, prioritizing tasks and managing workload effectively.
- Maintain client confidentiality and professional relationships, building trust and credibility with clients.
- Supervise and assist junior staff, providing guidance and support to ensure successful completion of tasks.
- Liaise with other departments, collaborating with colleagues to efficiently complete jobs and meet client expectations.
- Participate in technical training sessions, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
- ACA or ACCA qualified or working towards these qualifications.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting and auditing standards, with a focus on financial reporting and compliance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff and clients.
- Aptitude for teamwork and problem-solving, with a focus on delivering high-quality results under pressure.
