We are seeking an industrially experienced and motivated Coating Chemist to join our R&D team at Pulpex Ltd.

• Develop and formulate high-performance coatings to deliver enhanced performance and support the transition to sustainable packaging.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to characterise coating properties using various analytical techniques and instrumentation.
• Optimise coating formulations for deployment onto Pulpex Packaging and work with the Industrialisation team to ensure seamless integration.
• Identify and research new methods to support critical research areas and contribute to the development of innovative coating solutions.

• Master's Degree in a relevant scientific discipline (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Material Science) with a minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience in an industrial setting.
• Experience in packaging industry is an advantage.
• Good understanding of polymer chemistry, surface chemistry, and coatings formulation principles.
• Proficient in the use and interpretation of analytical methods for chemical characterisations such as Contact angle goniometry, Rheology, FTIR, SEM, and optical microscopy.
