We are seeking an exceptional Frontend Team Lead Developer to join our dynamic team in Woolwich, East London. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our industry-leading smart vending machine frontend.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and proactive developer with good leadership instincts to lead our frontend point of sale (POS) team. Your mission will be to support our ground-breaking operations in the UK by delivering robust, scalable, and innovative solutions across multiple projects and clients.

  • You will be responsible for the software development lifecycle (SDLC) for the majority of our Point of Sale (POS) front-end applications, leading a small team of engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Take ownership of our work to build out architecture-level plans for the evolution of the code base (both new features and enhanced maintainability).
  • You will also work closely with other functions of the business to plan the delivery of new features, expand on our current automation, and plan a longer-term roadmap across the full technology stack.
Your Profile

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 8+ years relevant experience in frontend development.
  • Javascript & Typescript expertise, specifically experience of modern Javascript frontend methodologies such as VueJS or React.
  • Good understanding of HTML/CSS and Precompilers.
  • Familiarity with Git source control and CI pipelines.
  • A keen eye for performance optimisation and a strong Unit Test/Agile philosophy.

The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, able to work both independently and with others, and have a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions.

Location

This role is based in Woolwich, East London, and requires occasional on-site presence. We are looking for someone based within the Greater London area who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
