About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IoT Systems Engineer to join our team at Forest Rock, a leading tech company developing innovative solutions for the Internet of Things.

As an IoT Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying IoT systems in commercial buildings and facilities around the UK, providing support to customers and other team members, and travelling to customer sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deploy IoT systems in commercial buildings and facilities
  • Provide support to customers and other team members
  • Travel to customer sites around the UK
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Some knowledge of IT systems, networks, serial communications, Modbus, or Bacnet protocols
  • A keen interest in technology
  • Some exposure to control systems, telecommunications, automation, or integrated systems
  • Knowledge of HV, Power Management, Metering, and SCADA systems
  • 18th Edition and CSCS card would be an advantage
  • Apprenticeship, HNC/HND, or Degree in Building Services, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant trade skills training in a related field such as IoT, telecommunications, or instrumentation
  • Experience with Tridium would be an advantage but is not essential as training and certification will be provided
  • Must have your own transport and be prepared to work away from home on a regular basis
