Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Investigative Lawyer to join our team at the Serious Fraud Office (UK). As a key member of our investigative team, you will be responsible for leading complex investigations and providing expert legal advice to support our mission to investigate and prosecute serious fraud.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage complex investigations, including drafting case strategy and key decisions
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve high-quality outcomes
  • Contribute to organisational learning and development, including innovative resolutions and legal precedents
  • Draft search warrants, attend searches, and interview witnesses
  • Engage with overseas law enforcement and prosecuting agencies, with possible travel
  • Enhance technical skills through working with digital evidence and training on our software
  • Work on multiple cases simultaneously, expanding career experience
Requirements
  • Must be a barrister authorised by the Bar Council to practice in England and Wales or a solicitor, admitted by the Solicitors Regulatory Authority and authorised to practice in England and Wales with a minimum of 2 years PQE
  • Leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders
