About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Art Teacher to join our team at a great school in London. As an Art Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and nurture students' creative abilities while maintaining a high standard of academic excellence.

With a strong emphasis on fostering a passion for the arts, you will engage students in various art forms such as painting, sculpture, and digital design, introducing them to new techniques and helping them explore their creativity in depth.

Through hands-on projects and collaborative activities, you will empower students to express their unique perspectives and develop their artistic skills.

By encouraging a culture of experimentation and artistic exploration, you will contribute to a vibrant and thriving art community within the school, where students can showcase their work and celebrate their achievements.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative and engaging art lessons to students
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Inspire and encourage students to explore different art forms
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress regularly
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their growth
  • Supervise and assist students during practical art activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field
  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or similar teaching qualification
  • Proven experience teaching Art in a primary or secondary school setting
  • Strong knowledge of various art techniques and art history
  • Ability to create engaging and differentiated lesson plans
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Passion for art education and inspiring students
