About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Bone Densitometry Technologist. This is a part-time position that will provide specialized technical support in Bone Densitometry, involving a broad range of complex technical work, both routine and non-routine, while acting as an operator for scanning under the Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations 2017.

Main Responsibilities

This role will involve scanning patients using a Hologic Horizon-A QDR Scanner for diagnosis and monitoring of osteoporosis. The successful candidate will have a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. They will also be responsible for prioritizing their own work and managing their time effectively, taking into account service demands and resources.

Person Specification

  • BTEC (CNC) or equivalent qualification
  • Completion of the National Training Scheme in Bone Densitometry
  • Experience working as a Radiographer/Technician in Bone Densitometry (advantageous but not essential)
