About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Haematologist to join our team at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. As a key member of our Haematology department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive Haemato-Oncology, General Haematology, and Laboratory Haematology services to patients at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Woolwich (QEH).
  • Work collaboratively with Consultant colleagues, junior doctors, nurses, laboratory staff, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient care.
  • Contribute to the clinical leadership of our Haematology service, including the development of new services and initiatives.
  • Participate in on-call rota and provide cross-cover at other sites as required.
  • Undertake managerial duties in the Department and Trust, including audit, teaching, and research activities.
Requirements
  • MBBS or equivalent qualification.
  • MRCP or equivalent qualification.
  • FRCPath or equivalent qualification.
  • Full and Specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) or eligibility for registration within six months of interview.
  • Experience of all aspects of clinical and laboratory haematology, with a broad base in Adult Haematology service delivery capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
