The role of Conservation Aviculture Specialist is crucial in managing our daily operations at the Wetland Centre. We are looking for someone with previous experience in animal husbandry, especially in aviculture, to oversee feeding, husbandry, and enclosure maintenance activities.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in animal husbandry, preferably in aviculture
  • Strong supervisory skills to motivate and train employees/volunteers
  • Practical maintenance skills, including grounds machinery operation and safety protocols
  • Excellent communication skills to engage visitors and promote conservation work

  • A salary of £42,000 per annum, reflecting the importance of this role
