About the Role

St Austell Brewery is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Development Chef to join their team. As a key member of the food development team, you will be responsible for creating innovative and delicious dishes that drive growth and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and cost new dishes that meet the company's quality and profitability standards.
  • Work closely with the Head of Food and Kitchen Operations Manager to ensure menu development aligns with business objectives.
  • Represent the company at food and supplier shows, and lead food events across the managed pub estate.
  • Develop and champion the company's chef apprenticeship program and Head Chef Skills Academy.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in senior kitchen management or food development.
  • Strong understanding of market trends, food seasonality, and regional provenance.
  • Excellent communication skills to influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced environments.
  • Track record in menu planning, budgeting, and food safety.
