Electronics Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Electronics Engineer to join our team at Leonardo in Newcastle. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing complex electronic systems, including PCBs with multiple interfaces.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop complex multi-layer PCBs with multiple design interfaces, including RF, digital, FPGA, power supply, and mixed-signal circuitry.
- Collaborate with electronic engineers to ensure design rules are followed and PCB tools, materials, and substrate technology are utilized effectively.
- Validate design data to ensure compliance with supplier capability and create manufacturing output data packs to company standards.
- Liaise with external suppliers, PCB Assembly houses, and PCB Fabricators to ensure seamless project execution.
- Participate in project meetings and provide expert advice on design rules, PCB tools, materials, and substrate technology.
Candidates should possess an HNC/HND or degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering, supported by relevant industry experience and a specialization in PCB design. Familiarity with current industry-standard ECAD tools used for PCB design and layout is essential. Experience with Siemens Xpedition is desirable, although toolset training will be provided.
