Job Role

To work under the supervision of the Strategic Commissioning Lead in the Commissioning Team, Benefits and Homeless Prevention, leading the delivery of all stages of letting contracts with particular emphasis on the tender process for supported housing services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide contract management expertise in managing directorate contracts, developing and implementing strategies to meet service needs and ensure proper control of cost and process.
  • Maintain an effective contract management and monitoring system, ensuring that appropriate action is taken to achieve performance targets and control spending.
  • Ensure that the Council's policy of diversity and equality is embedded in contracts awarded.
  • Ensure that information concerning contracts let is communicated effectively to the team as appropriate.
  • Analyse data and produce presentations to demonstrate findings and feedback from engagement and consultation with direction and support.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Hatched Recruitment Group as a Procurement and Contract Management Specialist. As a key member of the Commissioning Team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of all stages of letting contracts, with a particular emphasis on the tender process for supported housing services.

You will provide contract management expertise, developing and implementing strategies to meet service needs and ensure proper control of cost and process. You will also maintain an effective contract management and monitoring system, ensuring that appropriate action is taken to achieve performance targets and control spending.

The ideal candidate will have excellent contract management skills, with experience of working in a similar role. You will be able to communicate effectively with the team and stakeholders, and have a strong understanding of the importance of diversity and equality in contract management.
