We are a recruitment agency dedicated to connecting talented individuals with fulfilling job opportunities. Our client, a reputable primary school in Forest Hill, is seeking an experienced and caring individual to join their team as an After School Club Playworker Assistant.

**Salary:** £18,000 - £20,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Provide a safe, nurturing environment for children aged 5-11 years old.
  2. Supervise pupils during their after-school sessions, ensuring their well-being and engagement in activities.
  3. Contribute to the planning and delivery of stimulating activities, promoting learning and development.
  4. Log collection details for each pupil, maintaining accurate records.
  5. Ensure no child is left unsupervised at any time, prioritizing their safety.
  6. Assist with providing refreshments, promoting healthy eating habits among pupils.
  7. Support pupils during activities, fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
  8. Collaborate with the Breakfast & After School Clubs Manager to meet the needs of the children.

Requirements:

  1. Experience working with young children, ideally in a school setting.
  2. A Level 2/3 childcare qualification or above is desirable but not essential.
  3. Possess personal warmth and confidence to engage effectively with pupils, staff, and parents.
  4. Demonstrate good communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with children and parents.
  5. Show commitment to the personal development of pupils and respect for others.
  6. Demonstrate ability to establish effective professional relationships with colleagues, pupils, and parents.
