About the Position:
We are seeking an experienced Building Surveying Expert to provide expert advice on our residential projects in Edinburgh.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice on building surveying matters to clients and contractors.
- Conduct site visits to inspect buildings and identify potential issues.
- Develop and implement effective building surveying strategies to minimize risks and optimize costs.
- Collaborate with Quantity Surveyors to prepare cost estimates and budgets.
- Assist in preparing tender documents, contracts, and financial reports.
- Develop and implement effective risk management and value engineering strategies.
- Advise on procurement strategies and recommend optimal procurement routes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Compile and submit project reports and accounts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in building surveying, specifically in residential projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methods and materials.
- Proficiency in building surveying software and MS Office.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Estimated Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum.
