Client Account Director (Local Government)

Your Impact

Jacobs is a leading supplier to Local Government, providing a wide range of transportation and built environment services to a host of Local Authorities. With a 15% share of a $1bn market, Local Government is a key pillar of our growth plans as we enable our clients to deliver social, economic and environmental outcomes for their communities.

As a Client Account Director, you'll work closely with our Market Directors and Client Account Managers to position Jacobs as the leading supplier and trusted partner to local government across a broad range of services. Whilst transportation centric, this role offers the opportunity to significantly influence Jacobs' wider standing at the forefront of a multi-client, multi-service infrastructure market in P&PS Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, develop, direct and implement LG account growth strategies.
  • Relay, embed and help implement the corporate, Europe, market, cross-cutting, and LG client account strategies into the local government market.
  • Partner with Market Directors to co-create, engage, implement and maintain the purpose, vision, values and growth strategy for the local government market.
  • Ensure local government growth strategies direct where we should compete, how we should compete, assessing our capability to compete and what change is required to implement a successful strategy.
  • Build and align collaborative partnerships with key industry partners, stakeholders, and strategic supply chain partners.

Brand and Profile:

  • Develop thought leadership deliverables.
  • Ensure that Jacobs is a visible industry leader through participation in industry, stakeholder and political engagement and network events, targeting marketing and communications that will drive your client account growth strategy with clear return on investment.
  • Strategise, build and align collaborative partnerships with key industry partners, stakeholders, and strategic supply chain partners to drive our growth strategy generally and enhance our value proposition on pursuits.

Client Relationships:

  • Grow and sustain a prioritised network with current and potential clients within the local government sector and with their key stakeholders, utilising industry reputation, experience and knowledge to develop new business, new prospects and expand existing business.
  • Actively work to shape the clients' thinking around outcomes-based, collaboratively formed scope, procurement, commercial and contracting.

Governance and Delivery:

  • Lead Tier 1 and Tier 2 (top priority) prospects for local government clients.
  • Enable, engage and support value proposition development, win planning and sales governance on all top priority opportunities in the sector.
  • Lead our top prospects through the sales process where you will be responsible for:
    • Drive the development of the value proposition.
    • Develop innovative commercial solutions.
    • Ensure compliance with client requirements, internal sales process and governance.
