Electrician

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrician to join our team at Fortem Cares, working on our Stonewater housing contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of maintenance and repairs on electrical engineering services, ensuring high-quality work with minimal supervision.

The Project

The Electrician's duties and responsibilities will include:

• Installing, servicing, and maintaining electrical systems and appliances in accordance with the current edition of the IET Wiring Regulations.
• Installation, repair, inspection, and testing of electrical installations, with the ability to complete electrical certificates or condition reports.
• Carrying out EICRs and remedial upgrades to void properties, as well as day-to-day repairs.
• Completing reactive maintenance work as per the specification.
• Advising supervisors in a timely manner when other trades are required.
• Working in partnership with other operatives to complete projects.
• Completing daily work sheets detailing work undertaken and materials used after each job.
• Recording and submitting accurate timesheets corresponding with booking sheets.
• Working in a timely and productive manner to complete projects.
• Affording excellent customer service to client representatives.
• Arranging the purchase of materials required to deliver the works in a planned and efficient manner.
• Complying with Fortem Cares' safeguarding policy and H&S standards at all times.

Essential and Desirable Criteria

The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

• Essential criteria:
  • C&G 2360 Part 1&2 Electrotechnical Competences, plus the NVQ 3 Certificate 2356 with Technical Certs L2&3, plus the NVQ 3 Certificate or NVQ certificate or equivalent.
  • C&G 18th Edition Certificate.
  • C&G 2391.
  • Full UK driving license (no more than 6 points).
• Desirable:
  • Unvented Hot Water Certificate, Water Regulations Certificate Part P.
  • JIPB H&S Test Certificate with Current JIBP card.
  • Testing & Inspecting Certificate C&G 2377.
  • PAT Certificate.
