Job Title: Department Head

We are seeking an experienced Department Head to join our team at GCS Associates Careers. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage a large branch, ensuring performance is sustained at its current level and optimised for continuous growth.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring legal compliance and the correct implementation of company policies and procedures. You will also lead, motivate, and develop your team to achieve objectives and drive business growth.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a Builders' Merchant environment, either at local or national level, with a proven track record of managing a large team at varying disciplines and career levels. You will have expertise in all sectors of the Builders Merchant trade, including Timber, Roofing, Plumbing, and General building. Experience in a civils background is advantageous but not essential.

Your duties will include:

• Working on special projects as required from time to time
• Providing out of hours support for the alarm and CCTV providers, including being first on call for your branch with the requirement to attend site as and when appropriate
