We are seeking a skilled Class 1 driver to join our team at Movianto Bedford. As a Class 1 driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to our customers in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate Company vehicles, ensuring that you have the necessary licenses and authorizations.
- Offload and reload vehicles at customer premises and at the depot as required.
- Assist with warehouse personnel to ensure delivery runs are complete before loading.
- Show flexibility in your work schedule, as you may be required to undertake deliveries in other areas within our distribution area.
- Carry out daily maintenance checks and ensure the cleanliness of your vehicle to present a professional image.
- Abide by statutory and legal requirements related to drivers' hours and tachograph regulations.
- Present tachographs and Digi-cards for analysis as requested by Depot Management or statutory inspectors.
- Deal with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Always wear safety and company uniforms as provided.
- Be prepared to vary start times and shift patterns as required by the needs of the business.
- Carry out all reasonable requests by Supervisors/Depot Management, including driving a Class 2 or van on occasion when necessary to support business operations.
- Previous multi-drop delivery operations practical experience.
- Articulate, numerate, and able to communicate effectively.
- Possession of appropriate and current licenses with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Flexible in approach to work hours.
- Good state of health and the physical ability to complete operational tasks.
- Smart and personally well-presented.
- Must hold a Class 1 (CE) license and a full UK driver's license.
- Displays positivity and a can-do attitude.
- Takes personal responsibility for delivering high-quality work.
- Demonstrates honesty, credibility, and is punctual and present.
- Interacts with clients in a polite and respectful manner, reacting to their needs.
- Willingness to try new approaches and adapt to changes, providing constructive feedback.
