Job Summary:

RICHARD JAMES RECRUITMENT SPECIALISTS LTD is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Treasury Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Treasury team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our Treasury Manager in ensuring the smooth operation of our treasury functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile assigned bank accounts daily to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Execute day-to-day cash management activities, including monitoring and managing cash flows to ensure sufficient funds are available to meet payment obligations.
  • Perform daily cash reporting to provide timely and accurate financial information to stakeholders.
  • Monitor and manage cash flows to minimize currency exposure and reduce transaction costs.
  • Resolve queries with Front Office, Operations, and Finance teams in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure data integrity between trading and accounting systems, investigating or highlighting exceptions where necessary.
  • Produce daily margin call requirements to ensure timely and accurate financial information.
  • Prepare weekly payment runs to ensure timely and accurate payment processing.
  • Identify opportunities to improve current bank and cash management processes to streamline and reduce costs.
  • Execute foreign exchange and money market deposits to optimize cash management.
  • Liaise with relevant staff across all locations to ensure bank mandates are maintained and up-to-date.
  • Assist with the annual audit process and respond to queries in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements:

  • Previous work-based experience in Treasury or high-end accounts payable.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to make sound judgments to challenge current treasury practices and benefit the organization.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make quick decisions and operate in a fast-changing environment.
  • High level of proficiency in Excel.
